I'm not saying that won't work but it seems weak. You also said there's movement in it. With coil springs and control arms, that bolt would be under alot of stress holding that axle in position. I can imagine the bolt bending or coming loose. How long have you been running this particular setup?

Who ever's ram assist you are using should be your source for these questions. I have no further suggestions. Maybe someone with a hydro assist can jump in and help elnino out.

IMHO, your best bet is to get the DW dealt with FIRST!!!...Then work on the hydro assist part of your build. What good is HA, when you can't confidently drive the Jeep on the highway without having the DW in the back of your head. Just my $.02 worth, hope it helps in some way!! Later!!

BTW, what tire size are you running to make you think that you need HA?? Unless you're running really big tires it shouldn't be needed, IMHO. Let us know, thanks!!

Both are excellent points COS but he is also saying that his trackbar is hitting something that I can't relate in my mind how the trackbar could be hitting anything. IDK but fix one problem before you compound it by changing another factor. Large tires in the 38+ range in rocks may require hydro but you Crawlarado boys would know more about that than me!!!

I'm on 33s, and can hang with full size rigs that have HUGE tires!! IDK if I even want to run anything bigger!! I really like the capability of my XJ in it's current state, it will go pretty much where I point it!! Later!

Can you post up some pics of the place where the trackbar is moving. I just can't picture it in my old mind?

Now I see. Mine has a box there and the bolt is supported on both sides. Yours is just supported on the thread end and the torque on the bolt's shaft keeps working it loose. You need to fab up some support for the trackbar bolt to end the loosening.

You need to box the braket in on the axle end. Any flex at all = bad!! Bump steer is from the drag link and the TB not being at the same angle. If they are at the same angle they will move in the same direction when your suspension cycles and you will not have BS anymore. I would go back and reinforce EVERYTHING that has to do with the axle swap. That way you know there are no loose ends, such as a TB mount that is not boxed and cannot stand up to the lateral forces that are put on it without flexing. I would guess that there are more issues in your front end. That is an extremely risky situation that you should rectify ASAP!! Good luck, and please keep us posted!!
