Default Death wobble

So I have a 1990 Comanche that gets death wobble in 2 wheel drive but not in 4 wheel drive. Anyone have some suggestions of where to start trying to fix this problem? Thanks

Front drive shaft could be out of balance or bent. With vacuum disco the drive shaft does not spin till it's engaged into 4wd

According to the OP, they only have DW when in 2WD, not 4WD. Check all the stuff listed in 1996sportXJs link. Unfortunately, driving the front axle makes no difference in the diagnosis. It probably just puts a load on something (who knows what?) that keeps it stable and prevents it from shaking.

Anything can cause dw could be as simple as your alignment being a little off or a bunch of things worn out.

Just check everything.

Did you read the link I posted? If you did, read it again. It's good stuff to know.

It could be as simple as your tire balance being off. But read that and check everythibg
