yes, i've replaced the relay....a couple of times.

 

Check the wires condition of the relay connector and measure volts at the connector, to compare results with the readings at the pump.

 

I apologize for the absense. My job requires me to be out of the loop for extended periods of time. I'm going to have to swallow a little, no, alot of pride and ego right now...It turned out to be either the fuel pump connection or the relay...I don't know which....but now it's working. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right??? I really do appreciate all the suggestions. I haven't touched the Red Bomber in over a month and a half. Haven't had the time between the move and my job...decided a week ago sunday to enlist my father in laws help cause he knows electric stuff better than I do, and we were checking out the relay with a voltmeter and I wound up unplugging/plugging in the fuel pump relay and on a whim tried to start it and it all of a sudden kept runnin like a kitten. I'm really glad cause it was starting to get hard to justify to my wife why I spent over a grand on new General Grabbers for a broken down, unusable jeep. whew!!! Thanks again for all your help. I must've unplugged and plugged in the pump a hundred times not to mention the relay. Mystery of the church as they say, i guess.
