Dash lights not coming on?
I have a 95 Cherokee. When I turn on my headlights, the gauge cluster lights don't come on. I've tried turning the **** to adjust the brightness of the cluster but still nothing. What could cause this?

Loose connection to the guages? Take the palm of your right hand and hit the front right side of the dash. Near the gages. Not on the clear plastic or it'll break. Usually, the gages go haywire also.
Of course... I'd check my fuses and it might always be a bulb out.
But no, I'm not joking about the slap. .. search haywire gages.

The running lights share a fuse with the dash lights in my 90. One early AM I wondered why my dash lights were out. The next day after I got out of Jail I figured out they are on the same fuse as the taillights. (A trailer had blown the fuse the day before)
