For gears I'd agree with Royal, 5.38's seem to be common as well. If you plan on running a front 44 the max tire size is generally 37's, and people still break on those. The only thing about d60's front and rear is there fricken heavy. If this thing isn't your DD I'd say go 60's front and rear and call it a day. Also, make sure the rear is a full float d60 and not one of those crappy semi floats. No better than a d44.

Depends what vehicle they came out of. Honestly, make a username on Pirate and search search search over there. Probably more threads on dana 60's in Jeeps then you'll know what to do with. If you decide to post, do so wisely.

if they're ford, then the front would be drivers drop. much easier.
but if they're chev, then it would be pass. drop. but for free, i'd just throw in a d300 t-case and re-route the exhaust if need be.
the 60's can be shaved for more ground clearance.
just remember, you'll need new rims too.
are they 6 bolt or 8?

keep your 231, unless it's a passenger side drop, then look for a d300. hopefully a twin stick.
as for drivetrain stuff, you will need to do something with your driveshafts. either cut them down or measure and match.
if using stock driveshafts, you will need 1310 to 1350 hybrid u-joints.
otherwise, you should be good to go. possible brake booster upgrade, maybe.
you will need to upgrade your steering links. if you're gonna go with 37+, i'd go with at least, hydro assist.

not sure, but i think 95 has the dual diaphragm booster that the zj's have.
you may need to go bigger, like dakota or similar. but i'd worry about that once they're in and set up. then see how it stops. you may be fine with a stock dual diaphragm booster.
but go with hydro from like psc or the like.
