dana 44 rear question
i found a dana 44 out of a 97-2004 wrangler cant remember which exactly but anyways i have a 1998 cherokee with abs well this 44 out of the wrangler work for me as far as the lenght of it. and if i put in a axle with out the abs well this screw up my breaks? thanks for the help

well, if it's from a 97-02, it's from a tj sahara. could be from either a sahara or a rubicon if it's from an 03-04. rubicon have 4.10 gears and an air locker and sahara usually had 3.73.
not to mention wranglers are coil sprung all around, so if you want this in your xj, you'd have to remove the coil buckets and weld on leaf spring perches, and weld on new shock mounts.
no matter what, you're gonna have lots of fab work to make it work.

i can do the fab work just woundering about the lenght of it and it should be from a sahara then and if its that then it should have abs on it right? the guy said it was 3.73 with limited slip and he said 200-250 bucks for it

sahara axle should have abs. it should work with your abs system.
good score if you're not worried about the fab work.

no i have a dam gas hog wating for a rear axle soon as i get one in im going to 4.88 not going to put money in the 35. i got a hp dana 30 that needs a lower control arm bracket

lol i need it tho, some guy in the paper the reason why its 250 is because its in peices but it all there so i just have to build it which saves me the work anyway
