Don't shortchange yourself just get the right plate when you buy the 8.25 and always use new U-Bolts they aren't the same size and should be replaced when changing the rear anytime. Old U-Bolts stretch when tightened and as cheap as they are and for the job they do, replace JHMO and I do every time on a leaf spring car.
