Yeah. We honestly do want to help (after all, someone helped us learn what we've learned!) but we do get tired of repeating ourselves. Fortunately, my kids learned that I don't like to repeat myself fairly quickly (usually by benefit of getting some really tiring jobs to do, but it got work done...)

Sorry, total newb here. Do all 8.25's use the c-clips?

I dont think so and even if they did I wouldnt bother. The only disadvantage to c-clips is that the axle shaft walks out when it breaks. Simpler solution is to get disc brakes.

How many of you guys have seen a 8.25 break a c clip, or the tip of the axle where the c clip goes?
I have seen a bunch of guys running 35's and 36's and have never seen it... Have seen broken 8.25 axle shafts, but not because of the c clip... A aftermarket shaft seemed to remedy the problem for him so far....

And +2 on the disc brakes......

I've never even heard of a c-clip breaking on any axle, much less seen one.

IMO the chrysler 8.25 is a little stouter than the dana 35. they shoved em under 1/2 ton pickups that should say alot right there been wheeling for a while, but just got my first cherokee (93) wit the chrysler 8.25-dana 30 combo and have had no issues . the chrysler 8.25 center section is stronger than the dana 35

The 8.25 is stronger in some ways than the older Dana 44. It has larger axle tubes than the Dana 44, and most importantly it has a larger pinon and pinon bearings than the older Dana 44s.
Superior has Evolution 29 spline axles for around 250 plus shipping, that and a disc brake up grade, no problem running 35-37 inch tires on a Cherokee.
