Dana 30 Gear Oil/Friction Modifier?

Stupid question of the day; does a stock Dana 30 front axle need friction modifier? And if it doesn't what would happen if you used it?

No it doesn't need it and nothing will happen... except maybe remorse from the missing money from your wallet.

Friction modifier is only needed if you have a limited slip, which no D30s ever came with.
