I’ve looked for past few days and came up empty! Does anyone know for sure what the Dana carrier bearing cap bolt size is? Found 1 said 1/2-13 and 1 7/16-14 and that’s it! Can anyone tell me the size on an 87 Cherokee Dana 30? Got a bum bolt hole, still not sure how but it’s gummed up. Want to run a tap thru it but can’t find the size! Please help!

 

Don't you have a good bolt ? maybe from the other side .

 

Yes but it’s the hole I need to run a tap thru. Bolt stops about 1/2” from bottom

 

If you have a good bolt take it and get the right size tap
