there is a lot of wrong info in this thread.

the 260 is not the same size as the 297 or 760.
the 760 is a replacement for the 297.
you can not fit a 297 or 760 in a disconnect shaft unless you find a 95 yj with abs. i have looked for years to no avail.

if you run a locker in an xj disco axle, you will break u-joints.
