Default D30 after 97

Who can point me in the right direction? Need D30 axle info 97-01
from jeep, service manual, etc,......... not from a post somewhere.

My question:

I know in 97 the XJ and TJ came out with new body styles and in the TJ its stated everywhere they came with LP D30 axles.
My 98 and 99's also had LP D30 axles but I was told the XJ didnt get LP axles until 2000.

I cant seem to find anything that supports either and want to be sure I am giving the correct information.

POLL options - post what year you have and what it came with from the factory (off build sheet) if you dont know.

I find it hard to believe Jeep would have made two different axles after 97.
Prove me wrong or prove me right please.......
this is bugging me.

And while were at it were the splines or ujoints different 97-01?

Thank You

XJ's only came with LPD30 in 00/01 models 99 and down all had the HPD30 and it is the better choice.

Fred, where can I find that?
I can find all the info about the AW4, the NP231, etc but nothing about the XJ's D30.
And yes the HP is the better choice but I have pulled Lp's out of 98's and 99's to put in HP's so I am trying to find it written from jeep, chry,or in a Dana spec book.

Not sure where you would find any kind of info like that but Fred is correct.

No spline changes throughout the years. Just the ujoint change and the change from vacuum disconnect to non.

May I ask why you need this info from a credible source? Are you writing something or doing something professional?
