Head was swapped to get rid of 0331 head(piece of mind). Miss occurred before the swap and still present after swap.

Hey did you ever end up resolving this issue? Im also getting a P0455 evap code and a P0301. I've changed the wires and plugs and the injector on the first cylinder as it was cracked and i thought that might be causing the misfire. After changing the injector its still causing the misfire at idle. I believe the evap code is caused from seal around the fuel sending unit in the tank as i can see where gas leaks down the front of the tank after I fill it completely. Either way my compression is spot on at 150 across all cylinders and help would be great

I haven't. I put a new fuel pump assembly (Bosch) in this past weekend. That didn't do it. Put new NGK plugs in instead of Champions didn't do it. Didn't have time to swap the #1 injector yet.
Either: faulty injector, bad connection or wiring to #1 injector. Or PCM

I was getting only #1 misfire for about 3 days then I started getting 1&6 with the p0300 code.

One day it will drive and idle fine(or better) other days it's very noticeable. No other codes. Did a smoke test at the dealer two weeks ago they found 4 leaks. Haven't pulled a evap code since then. ...

Still working on finding it..:banghead:

Not sure if this is indicative of anything but seems like every time I go down a incline, somewhat steep. It runs like *****....misfiring bad. I'll shut it off and start it immediately and it will run fine the rest of the trip. ....happened before and after the new fuel pump...

I have not read that but it's a brand new head and I've ran Mopar CCC thru it twice in the past 6 months..two different shops said misfire only occurs at idle from their live scans.

You've probably already found my misfire posts and photos. Mine was caused by the wiring harness shorting. Easy fix if that's the issue.

Yeah I still have some checking to do with that. I've checked from the coil rail connection back about 6". I am moving in about a month to our first house. Nice big garage so I will be able to dig more into this issue then. Sucks living in an apartment and having all of your tools two hours away!!

So last week I installed a new Mopar IAC and man has that helped with the erratic idle. Went about 6 days without any codes...idled nice and smooth no sputtering out the exhaust....yesterday driving home from work drove about 15 miles at a steady 55-60, speed limit drops to 30mph, went around a corner let off the gas, coasted a little ways and got back on the gas and it was running like *****, sputtering, misfiring but no backfire. Stopped at the light, idle was real rough. Shut off the jeep and immediately turned it back on and ran smooth like nothing ever happened.

Drove it to work today with no issues, ran strong, idled smooth.

I will be installing all new 4 NTK O2 sensors next week. Its about 10-15 degrees here in Michigan. This issues happens intermittently. ...warm,cold, short drives long drives. May do it two days in a row or two weeks apart .
Only electronic I have not replaced is the PCM. May be getting a bad connection at the injectors as some of the locking clips have broke...

Still lost on what it could be....

Can't believe that O2 sensors would cause the symptoms you described. Big waste of $$$.

Have you checked the connectors and looked for corrosion? Seems an intermittent connection is a more likely culprit. BTW did you follow through with post #73?
