Here is what I did.
I made my wheel wells 3 inches longer. Should be able to 38 on next year when I change the axle.

No, stresses from simple driving will put undue tension on his body, and could cause some bad damage. It's much safer to wait until you fix the issue.

Well you may have just bought yourself a bit more of a project than you were looking for, but the good news is that you haven't screwed yourself. Many people have done what you just did on purpose. I hope you get more advice from those what have done it themselves. My advice though is to stick to your guns. You made that cut because you wanted that look and size wheel well. Go easy on the thin metal with the welder and make your wells the way you want to.

First thing's first, I'd park the jeep next to a power source and gut the rear end. Get an idea of what you're looking for and keep cutting and get yourself some materials to work with. I'm excited to see where this takes you. You haven't screwed up yet. Shoot, you should keep taking photos and make a "how to".

Get to work...I want to see the end result.

will the jeep really "fall apart or fold" bc of the inner wheel was cut....i do plan to refab my wells but i just dont see how the wheel well plays such a huge part in the devestation of a vehicle with or without a unibody.
