Max Tire Size w/Cut Out Fender Flairs
I have looked for this everywhere and can find no answer. I have a 91 Jeep Cherokee sport 4.0 and it is at stock height and there is no sag I just replaced all of the springs, shocks, and all suspension components. I was wondering if I put cut out fender flairs on my stock height Cherokee will I be able to go bigger than stock height tires not by much maybe 31's. Thanks

This is my everyday vehicle and I use it for work, hunting, fishing, ect. So I want to maintain a cleanish look so if I go with the bushwhacker cut out style would that be enough. I have never installed them so i'm not sure how much your supposed to remove for those.

I ran 33's on mine on 2" of lift for a while (before I could afford the 3.5" on there now) and it did just fine. I imagine 30's or even 31's would be fine stock with the flares.
Something to keep in mind, however, with the flares...they are designed to open up the wheelwell so that larger tires fit cleanly. It will look a bit funny with stock tires.

31s rub pretty good on a all stock cherokee but I dnt see why they would if you trim the fenders and heck why buy bushwackers they are over priced junk IMO. Just go with the TJ rear flares or if your like me and like the look of the TJ front flares go that route. But hey not trying to tell you what to do just thought Id throw my thought out there.

Would I have to trim the insides as well it looks like there is plenty of room there but I could be wrong I really just want to be able to put a more aggressive tire on but my options are a little slim in the 29 inch department. Any suggestions there?

I have read mixed reviews but what about wheel spacers? Also do I just turn the wheel left and right and measure +2" if I want to go from 29s to 31plus whatever the width difference is?
