Cup holders in your Cherokee?
I LOVE my Jeep but have always been distressed by the lack of decent cup holders in the front seats..I look for stuff in auto parts stores but none of then seem like good fits for the Cherokee...Looking in junkyard Jeeps the only things I`ve seen in XJ`s are things where people drilled holes and bolted things to doors etc..Does anyone have any good websites or photos of their cup holder sets ups? (I have a '94)

scour eBay. You can get cupholders that all but cover your e-brake or you can get the kind that stick out into the passenger's legroom. I have the latter of the two and it works just fine. Passenger's haven't complained at all. Harder to reach, but you get used to it.
Here you go. I'm not affiliated with the sellers, but these are the options I'm aware of:

i have both stock cherokee cup holders in my rig.
the one that attaches to the side of the console that comes stock in the mid year xj's are better in my opinion. they are deeper and tend to hold a cup tighter.
the early xj ones that attach above the e-brake handle works too, but they are shallow and wider, a bit sloppy for a coffee. also, it get in the way of the e-brake, not to mention a large or extra large coffee is in the way if you actually use your arm rest.
but i still have and use both at the same time. long trail rides/traveling to get there.

I just got some from autozone that bolt to the floor. I took the drimmel and made it so the e-brake goes down between them.

XJ cupholders
Ok i saw where BowtieGuy3 asked the question in another thread, but has anyone tried to swap out the late model center console to get the cupholders? Seems like it needs an answer. It would be a nice upgrade, but would the ebrake lever line up correctly? I thought the late models had the cables offset to allow for the cupholder clearance. Any ideas? We all know how the aftermarket cupholders are more a pain than a help.

Im thinking of doing something like Desertfox1023.
Its really becoming a real pain. With a 50 mile ride to work, its kinda hard to hold a coffee, smoke and shift at the same time. Also Its kinda hard to crotch a styrafoam cup of hot coffee. Could lead to burnt you know whats

I've got the same problem. I like the idea of mounting something to the side of the center console, the only problem i see with that is when the floor heat is on it would blow directly on them. Good for coffee i guess but not much else. I have 2 bell adjustable ones from autozone that have 2 "tabs" that stick up on each side, mounted to the floor on each side of the e-brake handle. But i broke both of them broke when the temp was down around zero here (Weak design). The design doesn't hold anything very well either.
