When I press ON/OFF, the green cruise indicator lights on the dash.
But, when I press "Set" and nothing happens.
Everything in the car works. Heater settings. Brake lights.
Already have a new clockspring. (No airbag light, horn works)
I also have replaced the actual switch.
Would appreciate some advice...
What's next? Fuse? Vacuum?
Can someone help me find the vacuum lines?
You'll need to be very specific, or I won't understand where to look.
Pictures are huge.
Is there a cruise control fuse?

I had the same type of problem. Does the heater blower doors move right? If not I would guess maybe look into vacuum. I've had vacuum issues messing with my cruise control many times
BTW I know you said your heater settings work right BUT: do the air mix doors move quickly or are they sluggish? I have found they still work with vacuum leaks just take longer to move (i.e. it stays in default defrost mode a lot longer when you change settings)

Also, your vacuum reservoir (I think) is located on the passenger side inside the front bumper, check that line going there because mine dry rotted and fell off leaving me with poor vacuum....anything that looks like black plastic tubes about the diameter of a drink straw and isn't obviously a fuel line or wiring is probably a vacuum line. I have used a mcdonalds straw and duct tape on the road for a temporary vacuum line fix....but they sell real stuff. Im sure more experienced guys will post here but to my knowledge just start feeling all the vacuum lines for rushing air (negative pressure) into the line. you can hear vacuum leaks that are big and they sound like hissing air lines.

Thanks for the tips, Black.
I'm not sure what you mean by "blower doors move right". You mean the manual vents you position with your hands? Mine only go up and down, but are not connected to anything mechanical anyway. You have to mean something else. Why would a blower door move right? I don't recall there being some control to only blow air to the passenger. Is that what you mean?

I will look inside the front passenger bumper. Is this the ball thing Iv'e read about?
I will also stick my head into the running engine compartment and try to listen for hissing.
If nothing obvious turns up, unfortunately, I may have to buy a Bentley manual,
b/c I am too much of a beginner to just hunt down random vacuum lines.
I need to be told exactly where to look, where they are located, and ideally, with pictures.

No prob. Basically when you change the air vent **** on your dashboards panel (not the temp ****) it has different selectors for like air conditioning, heater, defroster, etc. When you turn this **** while jeeps running you should hear the "mix" doors move. When I say mix doors its the flaps behind the little airflow vents you can control....so these mix doors basically change the airflow over the heater core or the air conditioning coils when you demand either heat or air conditioning. These mix doors move via vacuum pressure and should move quickly to your desired setting. So when I said: "do they move right" I should have said: "Do they move properly to your desired setting". A experiment I did was after running the jeep turn it off then change the setting from like air conditioning to heat. If you hear weird creaking noises and it sounds like the mix doors are moving then you still have some leftover vacuum pressure in the reservoir inside the front bumper. If you have a really bad leak (like I did) the mix doors wont move at all since the vacuum has bled away.
Hope this helps! I will try to help with pics but I don't have a good camera
Yes, the heater controls all work, and switch fine. I don't know what is considered fasr vs slow since I only know how mine works.
If the Jeep is off, how will the doors move if I change from AC to heat? I'd think the HVAC ***** would not "dead" with the car off.
Please be very specific in your directions. Are you saying I should do this:
1) Start Jeep
2) Turn on Heat
3) Turn Jeep off (remove key) Car is TOTALLY OFF and dead now.
4) Turn HVAC **** to AC.
And I should hear doors moving even with the car totally off?

I tried the cruise control at highways speeds, and it worked!
Before, I was only testing it at 30mph or under.
Does the CC only work above a certain speed?

So, I guess the answer as to where to look is "the speedometer", after reading the "owners manual"?

Yes
Some of us don't have an owner's manual.
I'll try to find one on Ebay.
