So I turn my cruise control on in my 1999 xj 2 door and it says it's on but it doesn't hold the speed. Anyone have any ideas I can try before taking it into a shop?

 

Try holding the "set" button for a few seconds instead of just pressing it quickly

 

I believe I have tried it but I will try again tomorrow

 

Negative on that idea, it didn't work

 

Check the vacuum line to make sure it's hooked up and doesn't have any leaks. Also, if your vacuum resovoir in the bumper is leaking it may not work either. Lastly, check the connection fo the cable from the servo to the throttle body as well.

 

That was it. Thanks man, it also fixes my heater/ac! Best 1.99 fix yet
