so, i stopped by the local pnp and took off cruise control steering wheel controls and the servo for my xj that didn't come with factory cruise.
my '99 had the servo harness under the battery tray.
connected that...
the clockspring harness didn't have a CC switch harness coming out of it, so i cut the ends off the CC harness and stuck them into, what i saw was appropriate ports on the clockspring harness.
you can guess... no cruise.
i can't think of it, but i think there needs to be another component to go along with this.
i would think there would be a fuse, but the wiring diagram doesn't have one.
my next thought is that the ecm might need to come from factory with the ability to utilize cruise control... but then, how is jeepsareus selling a complete CC kit?
if anybody has 2 cents to throw in, it might get the ball rolling a bit more.
i haven't even broken the multimeter out yet...

Glad you got it working....
I'm hoping to do the same with my 2001...I've managed to find a clockspring and the steering wheel "pods"....Still searching for the servo....
Are those all the parts you needed to get your cruise working?....I'm assuming the newer model XJ's don't have a separate cruise computer module?....Thanks..
