Sure is, there's a cable that runs to you throttle body linkage , but it wont work if you do not have the vacuum line plugged in.

Awesome now I know where to start on my cruise. It has vacuum, but no cruise so that would mean its electrical, correct?

Could it be there isn't enough vacuum? There is enough that the hose easily grips my finger.
Or should I be looking at the wires from the combo switch.

I have a 90 XJ that's cruise control doesn't work either, so I'm interested in where this goes. Good luck!

For your sake and ours I hope it ends well too. In the next day or two (cause its raining now) Ill go see if I have vacuum at the cruise control can or not. Just to see if I'm at the same spot as you. Its been a project I've been meaning to take care of for a year now, but just haven't made time for it. You've inspired me

AS A SIDE NOTE: If you ever have trouble with that plastic overflow tank get a metal replacement. I got one a few years ago from a place called Mac Radiators. I've had great luck with it and it ACTUALLY WORKS! I use to blow the plastic cap off all the time.

All of you:
Make sure the vacuum storage cannister inside the passenger side front bumper holds vacuum.

How do you test if it holds vacuum?

Run your Jeep for a few minutes. Pull the vacuum line off the cannister. If you hear "pffffffft", it's holding vacuum. If no "Pfffffft", you need to find out why.

The canister in the bumper I'm guessing, not the one below the cruise control.

That's the servo, yes. I went all thru the cruise system on my '93 Laredo. Vacuum good, switches good, fuses good.. it ended up being the servo itself. Got a new old one at the salvage yard for $26.. Workin' poifect ever since

What does it take to swap a new, relatively speaking, servo in? Just a cable the the throttle and the new servo, everything else you can use from the previous.
