Default Crashed my jeep and bent frame?

O last night I was driving my 1989 jeep xj and kind of drifted into a huge stump going about 10 to 15. Smashed the front end a bit and I think I bent the frame ? I was wondering if it would be fixable to bend it back?? Please help!

You might be able to make it driveable at slow speeds till you have some cash to get another one but it'll probably not handle well and will wear tires out.

If it happened to me - and it was still driveable, I'd drive it under 40mph until the damn inspection ran out...and probably more than that...

But as far as repairable? nope, sorry =/

Sorry to say. It look like time to start looking for a new one. Other then the bent sub-frame it looks like it has a few cracks in it too.
Like the others have said. You may be able to get it drivable at low speeds? But, you have to think, Is you life cheaper then replacing a vehicle???

Chain that front corner to a tree, back up and ****** it out as best as possible, drive it.

No, it's not worth fixing correctly. Just yank it back kinda straight and drive it. Worst case scenario you wear through a set of tires.

Find another body for cheap.

Those damned stumps keep getting faster. They were easier to dodge back in the days when they stayed put.

Take it to a frame guy and see what he says. Even with the wealth of experience here, I'm always leery of internet conclusions based on a few photos, and estimates are usually free. (He'll probably tell you it'll cost more to fix it than it would cost to just buy another one, but you won't know for sure until you get it looked at by a pro. You might be able to have it pulled and reinforced.)

Good advice. You're right. Pictures could make it look worse or better than it actually is. I'd say that if there's no wrinkles in the "frame horns" farther back than the springs then it'll be fine to drive by just yanking on the front of it. It'll never be straight again without far more work than it's worth but having a frame guy look at it might be worth a shot.

Though, he's definitely going to say that it's going to cost more than the $1k 25 year old vehicle is worth.

That was the only reason I was so quick to be pessimistic. Sure, you could try pulling it out, take it to a frame guy, and maybe it isn't as bad as it looks - but in 2014, I doubt anyone is going to fix it for less than the thing would total out for =/

If its a whole jeep then I would start swapping your stuff out and make it your driving jeep and make your current one the parts jeep.
