Post cracking noise when i turn the wheel

When i turn the wheel to the left, it makes a loud pop or bang then when i straighten the wheel back out or turn it to the right slightly, it still pops but less quiet.

What is this problem? im getting my XJ lifted soon and really want to figure this problem out thanks 92jeepy

check the track bar bolts and the frame bracket bolts.

if it only does it when moving, check your axle shaft u-joints.

Same here. And the passenger side tire looks like it's starting to become misaligned.

Yes, not excessively, but if I'm going down the highway and let go of the wheel, it slightly pulls to the right.

Mine did it for the longest time and I could never pinpoint it - however it came after I took my trackbar off and on (Lifted the vehicle). Since I never went back and checked the bolts to the trackbar mount behind the drivers coil (it was the only bolts that were a pain to get to) they managed to losen up just slightly. I noticed it after one day getting tired of the noise and began to look - i saw a slight rub in the metal where the brace met the frame and tightened the brace back up with the impact wrench. The poping left and my nerves were at ease! Hope this helps!
