Default cracked header

I been hearing a lot of ppl telling me that some of the 2000 and 2001 cherokees can get the header cracked easily, how can i know what header is a good one and what header is the one that can crack?

if its cracked you might see...
Milky looking oil. and check to see if you are losing coolent or low on coolent.

pre 99 didn't have the crack prone heads I believe. Just 00-01 XJ's

I dont know if hes talking about the exhaust manifold or the cylinder head.
All i know it the 0331 heads are prone to cracking.. and i dont think 00-01 exhaust manifolds have that problem.. but i could be mistaken..

others will chime in to let you know.. but be clear on what your talking about..

yeah im sorry i was talking about the cilinder head.. how do i know if its a 0331?

Supposedly the late '99 XJs had the 0331 head. If you open the hood, the number is on the right hand side about 1/3 the way back. Here's one, you can see the 331 in the bottom left corner.

how can i identify if its a 0331 cilinder header? is this the one that is promed to get craked?

You can see the # on it without removing the valve cover-just wipe the grease off.
