Default cps question

I have a 94 4.0 4x4 auto. I got a temporary cps from the jy today from a 95 2wd auto...it should still be the correct sensor right?

Here is part of a thread I contributed to regarding different CPS sensors.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/dif...edition-52304/

As long as it plugged in correctly then you are fine. The 93-96 sensors are the same and I do not believe that 2wd/4wd or transmission type matters.

For what it is worth I purchased a 91-92 CPS sensor by mistake and was able to rewire the old original plug on to the new CPS and it has worked fine for a couple years now.

Ok guys yet another question....I picked up a temporary cps from a 95...the plug is the same but the mounting bracket is about an inch too short. I managed to tighten it snug with one bolt and it works...does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this??? Should it work for a week or two until I buy a new one?

Hmm not sure about the mounting bracket. Can you post pictures of them? or find pictures online to see the differences?

Do they both have the metal arched bracket with holes at each end?
