I have a 99 cherokee that I believe has a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
1- hard starting = spins to long
2-stalls for a second on bumps
3-idles rough at start up
I see the sensor, driver side bellhousing.
To replace it two bolts on the bell housing, and plug the harness in? Is there any setting are adjustments? I see it is a pain to get at, but do I need to know anything else???? Thanks

Its an 11mm socket. And a 1 ft extension and an universal are invaluable to this project, as well as great patience.
Make sure the wires have not made contact with the manifold, mine did and it was showing identical symptoms. Your could just be burning through.
And I did mine about 2 weeks ago without dropping the front shaft.
