Coverting my auto to manual
I am in the process of tracking down a good used donar cherokee with a manual. I did a search on here and found that someone if planning on using a ax-15 manual for their swap and was curious if there were other trannys used though the years. I have the 4.0 with the aw-4 and np-231 T-case. I just want to make sure that I don't get a year that has a weak/problem one in it.
I have been toying with the idea of finding a 6 speed manual out of a wrangler. I don't know if they are good or not but I drove one the other day at work that had a 4.0 and a 6 speed and really liked it. I'm thinking it would bolt up to the engine and I looked at the transfer case and it looked similar to mine. But I don't know if It would even be an option. Thanks for your help
