Default A couple u-bolt questions:

Hey cherokee forum. First time jeeper here, I just bought my 3 inch lift from a buddy but the leaf springs didn't come with u-bolts. It's an 01 cherokee with a dana 35 rear. The leaf springs are:

I was just wondering what size u-bolts I would need to put these on, and if I should buy the kit that comes from auto zone with the blocks. Would they be strong enough to last a long time with no problems? A mechanic said otherwise I could get them custom made but that would run me 100 bucks. Are there any cheaper alternatives?

Yea do some more checking around online for u-bolts. Check Rusty's, Iron Rock offroad, JCR, all those places. Also make sure you have a Dana 35. Im willing to bet that you have a 29 Spline 8.25. And if that is the case you will need u-bolts with a bigger hoop.

Pretty much any auto parts store will have u-bolts and can tell you what size. The usually run about 5-6 bucks each.

if you have a 8.25, your going to need a u bolt 1/2"x3"x8+" napa the part number is 650-4028 i believe, it will cost about 40 bucks for all 4
