1. Ive had IAC problems ever since i got my jeep. I finaly got around to buying a new one and installing it yesterday. I drained the battery for 15-20 minutes and installed the new IAC. Reconnected the terminals and turned the ignition on and off a couple times before trying to start the jeep. When i started it, it quickly reved very high and stayed like that for 2-3 minutes. Once it idled back down to normal i drove it for a mile or two and then shut it off. Started it 2 or 3 times and it started fine no over rev or anything. Today its been having a mix of good starts and bad high rev starts. What could be causing this?

2. When i got the jeep the temp gauge didnt work. Sometimes it hovers a little over 100F and stays there. It almost seems like i have a short somewhere because my oil pressure guage likes to sit at the PSI even when the jeep is turned off. I have no idea when it comes to electrical so i dont know where to start looking.

 

Sounds kinda like your TPS to me.

 

Ugh i really hope not. Once its up and running its runs strong it just when it starts it likes to either start fine or rev high. i reset the computer again today hoping to see if thats going to fix it. we'll know tomorrow.
