Default cooper stt vs bfg km2

Im down to these 2 brands (cooper stt and bfg km2) for my new tire choices. Gonna be getting 30/9.5 r 15.

I currently have the duratracs so im aware of how they are

My true question, between the 2 i have listed, which of the 2 is better in snow? Im in Michigan, near Detroit, and I need something i can rely on in the snow. Only reason im not getting duratracs again is they dont come in 30s.
So from the many experienced xj gods out there, which tire would bw better in snow?

I have searched btw, and all these type threads seem to turn into opinionated arguments about tires not even mentioned so

I have no experience with the STTs, but I love my KM2s in the snow. I run 31s, so pretty close. I don't like them as well as my wife's Michelins on ice, but in snow they perform much better.

I ran the STT's (33") and really liked the performance. Great in the snow and on the rocks. Road noise was actually very low.

So if i get either of them, should i get them siped? Buddy of mine is asst. Mgr @ discount tire so i can probably get them cheap-er. I like the tread pattern of the stt and they're considerably cheaper then the km2. But i know bfg is reliable

I've been entertaining the thought of buying Duratracs for the DD.

What shys you away from Duratracs? Snow performance? Or are you just wanting a more aggressive tire?

I currently have the duratracs 235/75 r15 and they've been great. Just want something new. And they dont have the duratracs in a 30. Even tho i know the 31 soxe is only like 30.6 i dont wanna worry about serious rubbing or trimming. Just a lil more meat. Most likely gonna get new wheels with more bs for a more aggressive look, also to fling a bit more mud on the sides lol

I ran the STT on my xj in 265/75r16 when I lived in AK and they performed awesome in the snow. On ice they weren't so nice though but no tire is. They weren't siped either

Thnx awesome guys, thnx for info. Im leaning towards the coopers cuz the tread pattern is sick. And they're a bit cheaper.

I have the stts and I LOVE them. The Stt worked better at 28 psi than my dunlop mud terrain at 12 psi.
