cooling problems. overheating. help
I have a coling problem. i can drive about 25 mins or so and the gauge gets to just pass the 3/4 mark before i stop. doesnt seem to go that high all the time but still high. while at silver lake this weekend it had overheated a little but nothing horrible. i have replaced the water pump, thermostat(180*) complete coolant flush, backflushed heatercore, new fan clutch, added water wetter and still having a problem. i also removed the ac condenser.
when the heat is on it stays right at 210 no problem. dont really need the heat blowing. just as long as the button is switched to heat and vent.
anyone have any ideas?

Looks like you've replaced most of the parts of the cooling system that are prone to failure. You now need to look into a head gasket or cracked head. Check your oil and see if it looks milky and get back to us. If it looks milky its the head gasket. And as stated before, the year and motor would be nice. Also how many miles are on your jeep?

you could also do a compression test to check head gasket it might not be leaking into your oil just something to test to get out of the way

do you have the closed or open type cooling system on your jeep, compression test and pressure test you would have to rent both tools. comp test remove all spark plugs block your throttle open, unplug your coil wire from cap put compression gauge in #1 plug hole and have someone crank your motor over about 6 to 7 times your gauge should move up pretty fast you should be around 120-150 if you have two cylinders side by side really low your headgasket is most likely bad. Pressurre test cooling system find the right adapter and put it in filler neck attach yourhose on pump and pump up and watch the gauge for air loss.

closed cooling system the rad has no cap on it you have to fill it over on passenger side wheel well, and open cooling system has rad with rad cap.
