cooling fan sensor
2000 XJ, 4.0 AT, AC, sometimes my temp will go a little high when idling,
The mechanic said the sensor would not start the Elect.fan until 230 degees, and the AC would not kick the fan in till Ac high side pressure hits 300psi. Fresh thermostat, Rad. fins clear, and cooling Sys. flushed.
Are there any lower temp sensors availible to start the fan quicker? any way to have the fan start whenever the ac is on?
Thanks Mike

Your mechanic is not the sharpest tool in the shed, '00-'01 efans only come on when coolant temp reaches 218F (per FSM). They are not A/C sensitive like '99 & earlier. I believe it's been posted that the dealer could re-program the '00-'01 ECM/PCM to engage the efan when compressor engages.
