I have a 95 4.0 and my lower radiator hose appears to be leaking from the lip of the hose near the clamp . It's a new hose about 5 months and I'm pretty sure I tightened it down tight .
My question is why would it be leaking . On a side not I have bypassed my hcv by eliminating it and plugging the longer hoses into the firewall. Could this be causing extra pressure to where my hoses swell up ?
Any ideas would be great . Maybe I just need to tighten it .
Also , what is the easiest way to flush my radiator at home . ?

Try tightening it firmly to see if the leak stops.
If it doesn't the lower fitting is probably cracked. If it is cracked, you will need a new radiator. Old ones aren't worth fixing.
Diagnose this for sure before you worry about flushing the system.

Like Firestorm said make sure that the clamp is tight. Also if you are using the worm gear hose clamp. I have seen plus I have done it myself, Over tightening them will cause the to leak too. When they are over tightened they will tend to slip and not tighten correctly. Just something to look at.
