Noticed this past week my 97' Jeep Cherokee was losing coolant over a sum of parked hours. At first I got the Check Gauges light and saw the Temperature Gauge all the way to the right, then comes the CEL.
CEL is off now as well as the Check Gauges only because I have to constantly add coolant.
I researched some past threads on this topic and found that it could be the water pump that went bad or that the gasket busted.
Just hoping to get some input on where to start or what parts I may need to diagnose the issue?
Seems like it's coming down from that bracket (pictures below), which is odd. Don't mind the background coolant, spilled some. I checked the pipe wrapped around that bracket and no leak from there, so figure it must be coming from up top that bracket but hard to tell. As soon I wipe the coolant off the bracket a drop literally shows up but I don't see a stream up top which is the odd thing or I could be missing it from behind which now I am noticing in the photo.
If I'm looking at those pictures correctly I'd say a weeping water pump, or water pump gasket, or possibly leaking where the radiator hose connects to the water pump.

Hey guys! Happy new year!!
I’ve got a visible coolant leak dripping off of the lower radiator hose originally thought I would just wait till spring and re flush and add all new hoses and clamps but seeing all this talk about the water pump weep hole now has me thinking it may be that??
I also heard somewhere that a bit of coolant from the weep hole may be normal and it could possibly be a radiator cap not holding pressure causing said leak to act up?
any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
things to note;
I performed coolant system flush after buying vehicle with nearly no heat. This was at the end of summer around August and helped immensely. New upper radiator hose was installed, but existing one reused for lower, though I did change to a different clamp from factory spring clamp on block end.
jeep is nearly bone stock and a 1994 with straight six of course.
