It's a fan and its got a clutch it works jeep don't heat up. The stuff I have isn't green it's blue. But is an ethyline glycol base majority really but safe for aluminum. The green stuf corrodes aluminum

I've used green coolant in aluminum engines for years. Has to be in the correct concentration. Only thing aluminum on our Jeeps is the water pump and thermostat housing anyway. Is it pissing out the cap of the coolant bottle?

Since aluminum is aluminum, neither the Jeep nor the MB is likely to recognize the different food colorings used in the ethylene glycol based extended life antifreeze/coolant.....presuming the blue stuff is extended life.

If it says made for MB, no tellin' who actually makes it. The green stuff I use (Prestone) in all our vehicles says "all makes, all motors, mixes with all colors" or something to that effect.

Ya well I just used the mb stuff because its free and it's an eythiline base. I'm more concerned about the pissing coolant eery time I shut it off!

Could be a bad cap/bottle combo. Pressure is what raises the boiling point of the coolant. If it's boiling, either it's not holding pressure or it is overheating or both. Time for some cooling system maintenance.
