Shoot the t-stat housing and the back of the head where the temp-sending unit is.

I kinda took a reading from everywhere and just kinda found the average to all of em and went from there with it. but the t-stat is about the best place to get your temp.

The Thermostat housing is the best place to get your coolant temp. reading from. That is why when they switched from the Renix motor to the new HO motor, they moved the coolant sensor from the back of the head to the T-Stat housing.

my plan is to do the radiator and thermostat housing swap from a 93 to get rid of the closed system as soon as it quits all this freezing rain and sleet here in ill.

If they want more than $100 for the radiator, tell them to keep the POS and get yourself an after market 3 core ALL metal radiator. Got mine from CFS but, GDI makes a good one too.
