97 to 94 should not be a problem. I have done this. All the stuff changes over. The only thing is that the factory riveted the stuff in with 1/4" pop rivets. It takes an expensive air powered riveter to use those. So you will have to use 1/4 allen head bolts 1/2" long with nylock nuts on the back side. Should not be any problems. Just change over all the electric stuff. Put some power mirrors in while you are at it. You will need a power source. You need a 30A circuit. I used a #10 wire with a circuit breaker in it for the power source. You can also use a relay in it turned on by the key if you want.

There are kits on ebay that may be easier to install than swapping from a doner Jeep. The kits come with wiring and everything you need to install.

You certainly dont need an air rivet gun to put in something originally installed with rivets. You can buy a cheap hand held rivet gun for under 20 bucks or you could just use small bolts.
As long as you have the full donor vehicle to remove brackets/switches and harnesses from it should be pretty straight forward.
Just a word of advice tho....Keep the front window regulators clean/lubricated!!!
The P.O of my XJ did not and now my pass window is slow and the drivers side has a nice 2" wide set of scratches up it due to crap getting down into the door and screwing everything up.

We've got electric windows and I wish it had manual. The factory electric windows are a pain in the ****.
Benefits to manual
1. You get a work out.
2. No wires, switches, motors, etc. to wear out/fail.

+100,000 i hate my power windows, especialy when they get any mud and grit on em'! I'll be swapping for some crank windows when i cut my power ones down to half doors.

You are right, unless you use 1/4" rivets. They don't make a hand rivet gun for $20 for those. That is why you need to use bolts instead.
