converting a 97+ overhead console to a 96

Hey guys i just got a steal on a overhead console from a 97+ and want to know if anyone has put it in there 96??? like do i need to add wiring or anything like that

ps sorry if its in the wrong section my fault

dont think it will work in a 96. 97 uses different system. although 96 is the odd ball year. look between the 96 and 97 fsm. that is your best bet to be absolutely sure.

You definetly need the harness. Without it will be a no-go. As long as you have the right sockets on your fuse panel for it to plug into it might just work! Yes, 96 is a transition year so you may get lucky.
