Default Converter wont stay locked, any ideas?

I am not sure why but my converter wont stay locked going down the rd. It will do fine for the first 10 min of driving then it wont stay locked anymore. Sometimes it will go in and out suddenly then it stays unlocked. Most of the time it just seems to stay unlocked the rest of the time. Let me tell you the gas mileage sucks too...

Any Ideas on whats up?

Try adjusting your kickdown cable. Often times that's the cause of the issue. How's the trans fluid?
