Default control arm bushings causing dw?

Hello everyone, thanks for reading in advance. So I have replaced all my ball joints, wheel bearings are tight, and my box has not caused any uniframe cracks plus I have a box brace anyways. My control arm bushing are all shot on both ends, anyone think that bad bushings could cause death wobble? If not any other suggestions? Something obvious I could be overlooking? My trac bar is also tight. Any help is much appreciated, pthanks.

Mine was the steering stabilizer. Learned that after changing a bunch of parts.

... a steering stabilizer does not CAUSE death wobble.

A steering stabilizer simply covers up the problem. It's not a fix, it's a bandaid.

OP, yes. If your bushings are shot they can cause DW.

What's your castor and toe look like?

this death wobble I've heard about is obviously an unstable car at certain speeds etc, but is this found on stockers as well, or something that may come after a lift??

I agree that a stabilizer is only a bandaid. That is why I refuse to replace it until I have the problem solved. My castor and toe are within specs, I had it aligned at shwabs just in case. I normally do my own alignments but I wanted the specs from their mahine to make sure. The only thing I can think of it being is the control arm bushings.. can a bad u joint in the front drive shaft cause it? Thanks again, - Phil

I would say yes if the drive shaft is spinning all the time, but if its not engaged would it spin?

how much are bushings anyway?? If I were you I'd just start with the least expensive item and start swapping everything out until I found the problem

Remove one bolt of stabilizer and move rod back and forth by hand.
If you don't feel resistance, replace it. If you are not sure, buy new one and check resistance difference.

as stated before, the Stabilizer is not a cause of death wobble. It doesn't matter how shot it is, a properly adjusted and maintained suspension system does NOT need one. slapping a new SS on a worn out front end is like putting cromo shafts in a 35, Its still broke.

check this stuff
-Front tires out of balance
-Front alignment out of spec
-Loose track bar
-Worn track bar bushings
-Worn track bar end
-Need adjustable track bar
-Bad bushings/joints in control arms
-Worn/damaged steering stabilizer
-Worn/damaged shocks
-Worn/damaged tie rod end
-Bad U Joint
-Bad ball joint
-Loose frame mount
-Steering box looseness
-Need drop pitman arm
-Driveshaft(s) not balanced
-Bad front hub assembly

link to Post it came out of
