Continuous TPS replacement fix.
Quick story, might help others . pretty sure my TPS went bad. Replaced it , worked for a bit and then went 'bad' I read many threads on different forums where by people have had the same issue and kept replacing them untill one worked out. I thought about this a lot, and yesterday went and took my throttle body off and had a good look around. In the end I found that the throttle shaft was being pressed all the way to the back of the TPS drum , the TPS could not always fully return to zero, even when the throttle had. I found two small washers and inserted them on the TPS bolts between the throttle body and the TPS to space it out. Worked a treat , not a single friggin problem anymore !! Couldn't believe what this was in the end and glad I worked it out and didn't waste money on more throttle sensors . All the best. Ant.
Hi, yeah when I get a min in daylight for sure , anything in particular ? If your dead sure any issues must be TPS, take it , you can play with it with a large flat screw driver to understand what is happening , I found two small washer from old mountain bike parts bin . Spaced the TPS out maybe little less than a mm.
