At the risk of stepping into everyone's favorite topic, is there a consensus on the quality of Bosch "premium" oil filters? They seem better than the STP filter that's on there now, so I bought one for my next oil change. They appear to have a bypass valve, which is good.

A pair of soiled undershorts stuffed into an old soup can is better than STP.
Why risk being the victim of some company's marketing scheme?
Wix, Napa, O'Reilly's filters are good as they are made by Wix. Mopar is fine also and can be purchased at Walmart.

It is basically a Purolator PureOne with a different paint job and without the texture coating. Mann+Hummel the company that owns the Purolator brand makes filters for Bosch.
It is a good filter but don't pay any more for one than you would for a Purolator PureOne (unless you can't get the Purolator in your area) they are the exact same filter inside.

If you're out to experiment with filters, save your money. Just install a Motorcraft FL-1A filter. They're cheap.
Do a hillbilly oil change and change the filter every 1,500 miles and top it off with some fresh oil.

On second thought I think you need to buy "Fram Filters ONLY" by the case lot and use them for everything you own.

Not really concerned about a "post count" as much as I'd like to balance the brand bias by a few individuals on here. So go ahead and summon the elders..... Bash away. I've made my point and I will do so again when necessary.

Balance for balance's sake? Better than facts for those in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia I guess.
