Default computer box help needed from Namibia :-)

alrighty, hi there fellow jeepers. i live in NAMIBIA(we have dunes! haha) and my jeeps e.c.m fried. its got about a 100,000miles on it. anyway we have to replace it and the jeep dealer here, wants to charge me NAM$19,000 which about US$2,799.03 on todays exhange rate. and i can buy an unprogrammed one in the States for like 250 USD. but i need to find one thats already programmed. where can i get one? and does someone know how much a replacement e.c.m. costs at a jeep dealer in the States?? our jeep is a 1996 4.0litre automatic. any info that will help greatly. thank you in advance. Renaldo.

What is the factory part number printed on your unit? I work in the salvage business and will try to locate you the exact unit you need.
