compressor connector
Does anyone know how I would hook up this wire from my Sandon compressor? Im converting to on board air and this connection came with the compressor from the junk yard. Theres two wires coming from the base (hot and a ground) but it turns into one wire after the stock connector in the middle.
Any help would be great.

I don't know what that wire is. At the very base of the compressor, there are two wires coming out. One goes inside the compressor casing and the other wire is screwed in to the side of the compressor casing.(ground?) They both run in the same wire loom to a connector plug. There's a connector that plugs into it but there's only one wire coming from it now. It originally ran to a bunch of other wires that ran to the HVAC controls in the donor XJ I pulled it from. Should I ditch the plug harness and run wires from both the ground and power?

So I split them up and added some slip connectors. Also put some heat shrink around both wires casue they were pretty worn.
I'll probably add a wire loom and some cold shrink to protect it from the block.
Should I really put an in line fuse on the power wire? It will be running to the pressure switch and then to a relay. If it adds more protection, I'll do it.
I'm also taking pics of everything Im doing and plan on doing a write up of a simple reliable OBA set up. If anyone cares...
