I'm looking to get a hitch for my XJ. Iv looked through craigslist but there really arent any for a cherokee. The local junkyard only has 2 or 3 cherokees, so I was wondering if any other jeep model hitches would be compatible. Maby off a YJ or a TJ?

 

No only hitches off a Cherokee will work but any 84-01 will work there's also Reese universal ones

 

Nope ,you want a class three they bolt on more places and are equipped with a 2 inch reciver and are attached with nut strips not bolts with big washers which can pull out thru frame ....jm2cw
