Sad thing is, all that rtv prolly cost more than the right gasket! Lol.

When I swapped my tranny and put on a new flex plate I asked my mechanic if my rear main seal was leaking. He showed me the crankshaft with a tiny leak.
It is leaking, he told me it wasn't bad and not to worry about it.

Like cruiser said, start at the top. Best bet, degrease the engine, so that you're starting "clean" so to speak, a lot easier to pinpoint a leak when everything is not covered in oil.
