I think everyone is missing the cooler way to mount these. Wouldn't they look way cooler to switch the lights side for side and upside down so the 45ed corners are at the upper outside corners. Would give a mean look like a furled brow. Someone do a photoshop of this and post it. I am technically challenged and can't do that sort of thing. I would like to see what this looks like, might try the mod myself.

Wouldn't the light beam be cross eyed? That might be way over the adjustment radius.

Hate to break it to ya guys, but I kinda doubt you're gonna get the answer to your questions...

the original poster's last post in the forum was 9/15/09 in this thread and had a post count of 19

WeeMan who actually wound up performing the modification has 6 posts, they were all in here, and his last was a little better at 6/9/12

And 2Nelson845 who did the mod on the earlier style XJ has 2 posts which were both on here and his last post was 6/7/12

Just sayin'... I would google or keep searching because you may be waiting a while to hear from these guys.

Default Different ways!

Yes,you can mount them sideways or up sidedown(left one on right side). It depends on your fab skill's and patience. The electrical was the easy part,I just had to splice the wires from the new headlights to the cherokee's(I did the 1990 white laredo in the pictures which I had to sell).I made 2 small "L" brackets for each headlight and used self tapping screws.I wanted to keep it stock looking so I trimmed and tried, until the new light was sitting where I wanted and then I used a grinder with cutting disc to trim the bumper where it hit the new light.I'm sure everyone who's done this mod has done it differently.Good luck!

Default I think I found what I'm looking for

I know, super old post.. i just read it all.
I have been looking for a way to install projector headlight on my cherokee but I want seperate high beam (hella 100w).

I think these may just be my ticket.... not to more research...
These guys http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ may just have what I need.
Signal light can easily be in the bumper or maybe even integrated since with projectors, the reflector is no longer used...

or maybe these http://www.kbcarstuff.com/97-01-Jeep...hke97jm-rs.htm

Not really a need.. just a want to be a bit different...

Kinda like the look. Anybody know if the newer liberty lights are smaller? It's like a mini commander kinda. Was thinking the this whole time I was reading the post. I like those headlights that replace the whole light bezel that have the LEDs but they are way overpriced and read a few reviews that that are cheap thin plastic. Always looking for a way to make my vehicle slightly different than the hundreds like it that are around.
