comanche door swap
I replaced my 88 comanche doors with 92 Cherokee front doors off a 4 door. Does anyone know of any year past 92 that will fit ? I am not worried about interior design need to just upgrade

Any year before 1997 is a direct bolt on. 1996 and down.
The only way you're going to get an upgrade is if you install 97 and up doors. It's doable and has been done many times.
You'll have to bolt your old door hinges on the new 97+ door and you'll have to use the late model striker in the correct location.
You'll have to do some wiring to make the locks and windows work. The only advantage to this upgrade is nicer looking door cards and a full size window.

Thanks for the reply.
If I understand you correctly I can use any 1996 and below 4 door Cherokee without any installation issues other than wiring. And if I use a 1997 I would have to use my existing door hinges and use a different striker. If so what year striker

You'd need to use the striker from a 97+ Jeep. It's a different style striker in a different location.

They aren't directly interchangeable but they can easily be made to work. Just make sure you bolt the old style hinges directly to the new style doors. The new style door cards also work, they just don't allow the glove box to open all the way on the passenger side.
