Cold Heater
I have a 93 sport with the 4.0 automatic. The engine runs at 210 deg. The vacuum temp. valve seems to work when you move the lever inside. The radiator is full including some coolant in the overflow tank, but the heater never gets verry warm. I removed all the hoses and put the garden hose to them including the heater core and the seem to all flow fine. With the engin running and up to temp I pulled off the hoses going back to the temp valve expecting water to come flying out but it's not much more than a trickel. Any Ideas?
Thanks,
jh

It dose'nt sound right getting just a trickle... Last winter an old-timer that works on them every day told me that my 88 was not heating the way it should and that I needed to drill a 1/8" hole TDC of the thermostat colar so that air would vent past the thermostat. I didn't try because I sold it before it got cold this year.
I'd be shocked if that worked but it's an easy thing to attempt if you have a good tube of ATV...
