Dont wanna thread jack, but this adds to the question.
ok i heard you dont gain much from a cold air intake, so gain some but not enough to justify over 200 bucks.
But i also heard that 91- 94 het the best results.
Why is it true.?
Would it help a renix engine like mine? or is that money better spent elsewhere.

It does make a difference, if you install it correctly, the main thins is having it sealed off from the heat of the engine, You want cold air so that the o2 molecules are more densly concentrated to give the small explosion in your engine the best air to egnite with.
that being said, they have good shields that can seal pretty well against the hood and just allow the cold air from behind the headlight. me, I spent about 20$ for my cold air system, I bought a K&N filter and 2.5" piping off ebay for that much and fabricated it nto my stock airbox

I would say most likely, NO, Unless he also cut the air intake hole into the box was also cut bigger.
no there is no need for that, its not like the faster you go the more air that flows into the air box, as the intake uses air, a slight vaccum is created which pulls more air in. so the opening on the airbox being smaller will draw more cold air in and it will spend less time in the airbox warming up
