hi guys i have a big question here!!

so i had the 3" rough country lift kit installed in my xj, i recently added 2" coil spacers on top of the springs, rc control arm drop brackets for my stock arms, rustys adjustable trac-bar, new shocks, and longer brake hoses. and of course shackles and everything else in back

now i havent gotten an alignement done yet but my problem is that even with my control arms all the way back in the drop brackets the axle is too far forward.

the sway bar links rubbed on the springs so i moved the sway bar forward an inch no problem but the coil on the drivers side rubbs on the backet for the trac-bar that is bolted to the frame rail.

can you please help me. what did i do wrong???

i can post pics if anyone needs to see.
thank you

you need longer swaybar endlinks.

everybodys coil rubs the trackbar bracket to an extent

but that is sooo damn annoying, i was thinking about after the alignment shop if they cant fix it i might take that bracket off and beat the **** out of it with my big *** hammer until its flat and put it back up so it dont rub.

but i would like to do it the right way first if there is a right way, so any other suggestions would be nice

Fixit, If I'm reading this right what I think you have is the adjustable end on your track bar out waaaaay too far and it's pulling your axle over to the passenger side off center. This is why you driver's side coil spring is hitting your track bar mount. Disconnect the upper mount on your track bar, start up the Jeep and turn your steering wheel until you have equal amount of tire sticking out on both sides. You'll need somebody else to turn the wheel mhile you eyeball the front axle, most likely. Once your axle is centered up, shut off the Jeep and re-adjust your track bar until it goes through the hole on your frame mount and tighten and torque it. This should fix your problem.

you may also try clocking your springs correctly. there is a little notch the bottom of the spring is supposed to sit in. its hard to explain but u will know what it is when you see it

ya i should have explained better sorry...heres the deal

i already lined up the axle side to side before i put the trac bar in the tires both have the EXACT measurement on either side so that is centered.

and i have double and triple checked the springs to make sure they are in the right position, this is why i am soo damn stumped here, the springs are perfect in the notches.

im starting to wonder if it was not a good idea to put a 2" coil spacer on top of RC 3" springs?? or maybe there is a problem with my RC drop brackets?? or maybe my cherokee is just wierd and needs shorter control arms?? i have no clue whats up, its a pain in the...

you havent listened.

you need either longer swaybar links, or swaybar link drop brackets. your drop brackets worked fine for the 3" lift they were meant for, but now youre at 5"

you might want to go to an adjustable control arm one that lets you shorten the arms a little those drop brackets are for about a 6 inch lift and higher. i think your brackets are not allowing enough adjustment. oh and fixitman he is asking for help it is not nice to call him a dumbass.edit never mind you where calling your self a dumdass i was not reading close enough
